Jan Steen was a Dutch painter from the seventeenth century. While he was not extremely popular in his own time, his comedic and relatable storytelling abilities have left a lasting impact on people today. Steen also was a master with miniscule details, which not only make his works more accurate portrayals but also much more extraordinary.
